King Perka $exxx (he/him) is an Atlanta made but Charlotte based drag king who brings you comedy, social commentary, and dad jokes. He was voted Best Drag King and Best Alternative King of Charlotte. He is a nationally traveling drag king and has headlined the Austin International Drag Festival and Hostess City Hoedown in Savannah. I want to expand people's mind of what the art of drag can be. It's more than a "MAN" dressing as a "WOMAN". It's queer people expressing the fluidity of gender and gender expression. Drag can be funny, emotional, empowering, scary, healing. Most importantly, drag is something that can give people a sense of visibility and community.
